TWO PRICELESS TOOLS
“How does it work?” and “When does it pay off?” are the significant questions potential buyers of a DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluid will ask.
For this reason we have developed two tools for you to use together with your customers. These tools will illustrate the advantages of DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluids over other hydraulic fluids in their equipment and calculate potential savings for your customer.
Answer the questions “How does it work?” with the animation, and “When does it pay off?” with the calculator.
THE ANIMATION
A look inside
The first chapter of the animation shows a simple hydraulic system with a pump, valves, gaskets, cylinders, etc. Focus on the changing fluid temperature of a conventional hydraulic fluid and how it impacts viscosity. As viscosity changes, hydro-mechanical and volumetric efficiency goes out of balance.
The viscosity dilemma
Fluids of low viscosity are easy to pump but not very efficient in terms of work – those with high viscosity react inversely. This principle cannot be changed, but can be optimized: A DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluid balances the impacts of mechanical and volumetric efficiency.
A larger TOW (Temperature Operating Window)
DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluids not only widen the temperature operating window, they also increase the efficiency of the hydraulic system.
A simple comparison
Two virtual excavators, side by side, illustrate the superiority of DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluids in practical application. The productivity advantages manifest in a constantly growing lead in terms of work cycles performed by the excavator filled with a DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluid because the viscosity is maintained as the excavator works harder and harder, delivering more power with less internal leakage.
THE CALCULATOR
Every potential DYNAVIS® customer wants to know about their savings and return on investment. So, the DYNAVIS® calculator is a very useful tool that should be used actively.
All relevant data can be set using the sliders to illustrate your customer’s current situation. As a result of the inputs, the calculator will show savings and return on investment if using a DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluid in place of a conventional fluid.
"Savings on the job" shows your customer their potential
• for efficiency: moving the same amount of material but now with less fuel
• for productivity: either moving the same amount of material but now doing so faster or moving more material in the same amount of time as before.
All of the results of the DYNAVIS® calculator are based on real field tests and updated on a regular basis. Check out the settings to alter the language, metrical system, and currency of the calculator to accommodate your specific customer’s needs.
After you have familiarized yourself with the function of the calculator, the most effective use is together with your customer to realize all the benefits of DYNAVIS® formulated hydraulic fluids.
